Lux Variety
Specialty coffee is on its way to become a luxury product and so, to be able to enjoy cup of coffee from a single variety is like appreciating the beautiful picture of a gemstone. Lux is our collection of single variety specialty coffees, in which we promote the most beautiful Brazilian varieties:
Yellow Bourbon
Yellow Catuaí
Yellow Arara
Tropical Honey
In the honey processing the cherry is harvested when ripen (red or yellow). Then its peel is removed, but some amount of the juicy inside, the “mucilage”, remains while the beans are dried, granting smooth sweet characteristics to the flavor and aroma.
Royal Raisin
Royal Raisin is the result of a process that combines the perfect ripen maturation of the coffee fruit with the natural method, using a static dryer to do so. After being harvested at their best moment, the whole cherries (which in this process are not peeled) are sent to the static drier to dry into natural process, granting winey and grape notes to the flavor and aroma.
The static dryer, in it turns, allows flexibility in terms of volume, serving both small and large volumes of coffee, allowing unique batches to be prepared exclusively, without mixing varieties and types of preparation. This method allows full control of temperature and humidity throughout the drying process, further enhancing the possibility of reaching higher quality coffees.
Grand Noir
The Grand Noir Black Natural is prepared accordingly to the process commonly known in the market by the terms “natural process”, “dry process” or “sundried”. In this process the coffee is in contact with its fruity mucilage much longer than traditionally-processed coffee. This extended contact between seed and fruit results in a much fruitier coffee. Sometimes the fruit exhibits itself in citrusy characteristics and other times with intense berry notes.
Origins – 6 Clusters
Our six clusters define the origins of our coffees, where the estates of our partners are located within Paraguaçu neighborhood. Single origin estate coffees
One of the most important items behind a specialty coffee is its history. How the coffee was cultivated, which were the decisions the farmer took along the journey of a crop to get higher qualities into the cups and, how this beautiful activity (to grow specialty coffees) has changed his perception of life around him. Our principle is more than just paying a fair price to our partners. We work in partnership with farmers to improve both quality of coffee and livelihoods, long term.
Our coffees are the result of these close partnerships we have built with our coffee farmers within the past six decades. Today, we work together with over 650 partners from Paraguaçu, in south Minas Gerais, improving the economic, social and environmental conditions of coffee production, making difference to their lives and to those who somehow are impacted by their actions. We directly support the management of over 650 estates from which coffee lots are taken individually into our milling warehouse, where they will be sorted, cupped and prepared, accordingly to its origin, variety, preparation method and quality.
Quality & Consistency
There is a complex modern organizational structure behind the scenes when we talk about quality and consistency. Our entire company is somehow focused about these two key points. The technical team promotes the agricultural extension into our partners estates, always looking for improvements in processes that can contribute for final coffee quality. The dedicated quality team (featuring 2 Q-Graders) connects the clients demands with the production system to orientate, as sooner as possible, the production to meet their quality goals. They also carefully manage the steps of coffee sorting and cupping to ensure the right coffee will be delivered accordingly to the specific demands from our clients. They also created our product line in order to ensure the quality consistency year after year, standardizing our coffees qualities, with the exception of the microlots that are unique and exclusive.
Direct trade – Close Relationships
Our company is fully focused on relationships, not only with our farmers, but also with our clients. The sense of deep friendship that is built throughout the years is the engine that drives credibility and information transparency of each cup of coffee from the farm to the consumers, who become avid for more knowledge. This is a business model that inspire us to improve and develop ourselves daily, generating value from the farmer to the consumer.
Operational Excellence
We start caring about coffee quality many months before it reaches the final consumer, when the coffee itself is yet an idea. Quality is a constant process of care and improvement that starts in the production fields, by analyzing plant and soil conditions, looking for best conditions for the crop development.
Our technical team provides exclusive free assistance to each partner and production area, leading soil and leaf fertility analyses to establish a unique fertilization program. We are constantly looking for the newest technologies that can be rapidly and effectively applied in the coffee production, building a bridge between our producers and researchers from prestigious universities and institutions.
The delivery in its turn is a key factor, a precision process that requires an exclusive view for each client. We customize solutions on demand, handling the entire logistics from the packaging to the export documentation.
Our modern warehouse and custody chain allow us to deliver a 100% traceable coffee to our clients, into a process where they can follow the shipment and coffee origin on line from a mobile app.

Sustainability
For Paraguassu Coffees, sustainability is the foundation of our job and company. We were founded in 1957 based on our belief that cooperating with each other could implement a system of continuous improvement in order to benefit all the involved members in our project. For this development to take place, however, our members had to engage in a sustainable production model that would guarantee the permanence of their lands and their production. Thus, we have as our fundamental philosophy a sustainable production model, only working with coffees that are grown in accordance with the economic, social and environmental standards.
Our agronomist team works closely with our coffee producers, making regular visits to their estates and are constantly sharing good agriculture practical, environment protection techniques and coffee quality processing improvements.
Social projects are instruments of quality life improvement for people and communities and, at the same time, are citizenship actions that, when put into practice, changes our surroundings in a positive way.
